I've lost my voice multiple times this year for different reasons, and this app has been a life saver. I've been able to keep working, see doctors, and communicate with family members during the holidays. I honestly do not know what other options are out there, but this app has been incredibly powerful for my needs and is beautiful in its simplicity. Note: I have not lost my hearing during any of these times, so I have not used the speech-to-text functionality. I've only used this app for its text-to-speech functionality and its large-font, big-screen typing so that people would not need to read tiny fonts in a notepad app. These features have been especially life-saving since I work construction. The sun's glare makes reading any screen incredibly difficult for English-speakers. And many of the workers on my sites speak little English and read less English, so I'd still be out of work without the user-friendly text-to-speech.

This has become my go to trusted companion. I tried quite a few apps for communicating with my sidekick (both of us are hard of hearing). This one is very simple and effective. I even put future messages in the add folder for upcoming appts and questions I otherwise would forget. Only thing I requested was a speech function. THEY JUST ADDED IT. SO COOL. THANK YOU!

It worked fine until today. My CLEAR button has disappeared. Where is it? It's VERY useful! UPDATE: Thank you your quick response and I find the new X easy to use now that I know what it is. It strikes me that using an X as a CLEAR button is not really very intuitive and the letters CLR might be more obvious. If made smallish, they wouldn't take up any more space. Your app has been very useful for talking to my deaf mother over our Amazon Echos. Thanks.

The new clear button is the "X" on the left side of the settings button. Let me know if you don't like the change or if you can't find the X by updating this reply. Thanks! Update: Agreed. I'm currently experimenting with different interfaces for the clear button. I'll give your idea a try. Thanks for your suggestion!
